Pagination
List operations return one page at a time. Each service keeps its own paging style; the parameters below are the ones its list operations take, and each operation's page in the reference lists them exactly.
By service
| Service | Paging parameters | List operations that take them |
|---|---|---|
| Dials | limit | 1 |
| Fleets | limit after before | 2 |
| Henry | page_token | 1 |
| Hives | page per_page limit offset | 17 |
| Minds | limit after | 1 |
| Relays | page limit | 2 |
| Traces | limit | 1 |
Hives: pages
Hives lists take page (from 1) and per_page, and answer with the items in data and a pagination object:
{
"data": [ … ],
"pagination": { "page": 1, "per_page": 20, "total": 1, "total_pages": 1, "has_next": false, "has_prev": false }
}Read every page:
let page = 1, all = []
for (;;) {
const res = await genesis.call('hives_list_projects', { page, per_page: 100 })
all.push(...res.data)
if (!res.pagination.has_next) break
page++
}genesis hives projects list --page 2 --per-page 100Cursors
Services that page by cursor take a limit and a cursor from the previous page (after, before or page_token). Pass the value the last response gave you; stop when it gives none. Each operation's Response fields name where the next cursor is.
