Genesis 0.1.12 Console

Tools

CLI

genesis reaches every service from your terminal. Each command below links to its full reference, generated from the help of @lifesi/genesis-cli@0.1.12.

npm install -g @lifesi/genesis-cli@0.1.12

Node.js 20.19 or later; tested on 20, 22 and 24.

Credentials

The CLI uses, in order: --api-key, then GENESIS_API_KEY, then your saved genesis login. The login is kept in your operating system's keychain.

genesis login # browser
genesis login --device # approve a code from any signed-in browser
genesis whoami
genesis logout

Output

  • Tables for people by default.
  • --json for scripts: one JSON value on stdout, and on failure a JSON error object. Errors the gateway raises include its code, required_scope and docs_url.
  • Text from the server is stripped of terminal control sequences before it is printed.
genesis --json hives projects list | jq -r '.data[].id'
